Handicapped Children

About 5 years ago, I was asked to visit a support group for families with handicapped children.  As I talked with the leadership of the group two major needs came to light, the need of  wheelchairs and physical therapy. By God's Grace we could provide both.

Under the leadership of Tina physical therapy was offered on a weekly basis. To visit the therapy sessions was a great delight to me

Outreach in Kibera

Jambo from Nairobi, Kenya

Talking about diving into a very different world. We visited Kibera, the largest slum in Africa. It is not clear how many people actually live her, estimates are vary between 250 000 and 1 Million people. Most parts do have no electricity or running water. Washrooms are shared by up to 50 families. The unemployment rate hovers around 50 %. The needs are overwhelming.

We had the privilege to visit Pastor Nicholas church. For many years we worked off and on with him, providing food for the congregation and supporting him in an outreach food program to streets kids. We shared Bible stories, having fun making some crafts with the kids, playing soccer and sharing a meal

Dedication Service for the Safe House

On Saturday we reached a huge milestone. We celebrated God's faithfulness by dedicating the Safe House. It was a meanigful, joyous and beautiful event. We prayed over the property and the ministry leaders. God has been faithful in providing all the funds and necessary man power to erect this place of safty and peace for pregnant teenage girls. Here some highlights.
