Outreach in Kibera

Jambo from Nairobi, Kenya

Talking about diving into a very different world. We visited Kibera, the largest slum in Africa. It is not clear how many people actually live her, estimates are vary between 250 000 and 1 Million people. Most parts do have no electricity or running water. Washrooms are shared by up to 50 families. The unemployment rate hovers around 50 %. The needs are overwhelming.

We had the privilege to visit Pastor Nicholas church. For many years we worked off and on with him, providing food for the congregation and supporting him in an outreach food program to streets kids. We shared Bible stories, having fun making some crafts with the kids, playing soccer and sharing a meal
